I have been going to see Dr. Verras since my son was born almost 22 years ago. As a nurse, I have met and dealt with many physicians. Dr. Verras is by far, one of the finest physicians that I know. He is very professional and compassionate about his work. He loves his patients and it shows. When my son was younger, he had a bout of tonsilitis that was rather severe. I took him into see Dr. Verras the day before Thanksgiving. Dr. Verras was concerned enough about my son, that he called us on Thanksgiving day to check on him. I have never met another physician that would take time to go out of his/her way to care for their patients. We live in Gwinnett County and I pass many pediatrics groups on a daily basis. It is more than worth it when it comes to the drive across town to see Dr. Verras...even with the current high gas prices.
P.S....Dr. Betsy John, who is in with Dr. Verras is also a great doctor. She was covering one day when my daughter needed to be seen...and we knew Dr. Verras had picked a great associate.

A co-worker of mine referred me to Verras Pediatrics when we relocated to ATL 1 yr ago. The co-worker had a son who had a stroke at 17 and Dr. Verras held my co-workers hand from accident to rehab to new normalcy. After 3 L-O-N-G years with other pediatricians and specialists (some with Harvard degrees), Dr. John immediately referred my 3 yr old out and my son was properly diagnosed with asthma. I drive 40 min to their ofc, and it's worth it. They are cool, funny, real and realistic, consummate professionals.

Dr. Verras has been a wonderful Physician to my 15 year old daughter. She was diagnosed with a nuerolmuscular disease at 9 years old (which seemed very out of the blue) and Dr. Verras took the lead and learned what he could baout this rare condition and has been an active role in treating her with so many other specialists. From day one, Dr. Verras has been great and couldn't imagine my daughter being treated by another pediatrician!

While pregnant, our friends who'd recently had a child recommended Dr. Verras. Later in our pregnancy, one of my husband's co-workers recommended him as well. While at the hospital giving birth, the nurses actually got excited when I told them we'd chosen him as our pediatrician.
Our daughter had jaundice, so we ended up needing to see a doctor the day after she was born. Dr. Verras was on his annual overseas mission trip, so we brought her to Dr. John instead. She was ON TOP of getting our baby tested and keeping track to make sure the jaundice went away. We had to take her to an ER for a blood test and when it was taking too long (and this is after hours), Dr. John was calling to check on our progress. She called around 9:30 that night with her own family in the background to give us the results. She will take time to answer every question we have and does not play the generic sanitized insurance company-tested and government-approved game. She knows us by name on the spot and has the nicest compliments for our children. There is nothing pretentious about this pediatrician's office.
I look forward to finding out that any of my friends are pregnant so I can recommend Dr. John.
